Adam practices law at Polsinelli LLP and earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is valued by clients and colleagues alike for his unique perspective and acute attention to detail, influenced (in part) from his background in engineering and work in aerospace. Adam represents clients of all sizes regarding intellectual property matters, with an emphasis in patent litigation and prosecution. He is a registered patent attorney and has a passion for helping clients define, develop, and enforce patent portfolios in foreign and domestic countries. Adam regularly assists clients in obtaining patents, enforcing patent rights before federal district courts, drafting and negotiating license agreements, and conducting post issuance review proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Before practicing law, Adam worked as an engineer for an aerospace company where he designed, tested, and implemented avionic systems for fly-by-wire rotary aircraft configurations.
Yira Dirocie’s practice focuses on fashion law and the business of fashion. She routinely assists and advises fashion brands and startup companies as virtual in-house counsel with day to day business affairs, domestic and international trademarks, copyrights, branding, and licensing. Some noteable clients include professional skateboarder Stevie Williams, Fashion blogger Aleali May, and brands like Just Don and KNC Beauty. She has also worked as in-house counsel for large and small media and fashion companies, including Sony Music, CBS Studios International, Japanese anime distributor Dentsu Entertainment, and luxury brand Oyster Holdings.
Yira holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law and undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Legal Communications from Howard University.
