Tech Talent Pipeline initiative, Bixel Exchange partnered with Headspace, a digital service company that provides guided meditation sessions and mindfulness training, to help community college students get a leg up in their pursuit of a job in #techLA. Bixel Exchange brought together a diverse group of students for a tour of Headspace’s inspiring and serenity-invoking offices in Santa Monica, and engaged them in a professional development panel discussion with employees from a variety of backgrounds. Headspace also led focus groups on human-centered design, and emphasized the importance of having diverse teams working together to create products that can serve the world. If your company is interested in hosting a similar event, let us know!
