Three new teammates joined Bixel this month!

We are excited to announce three new additions to the Bixel Exchange team:

b2_a_Elianne.jpgElianne Rodriguez is a passionate entrepreneur and co-founder of Conaxion. Her background includes small business procurement, entrepreneurship curriculum development and new venture launch, and she is a recent winner of the L.A. Mayor’s Cup. She has joined Startup LAunch as operations and community coordinator.


b2_b_India.jpgIndia Halm is an L.A. native and international affairs and political science graduate of George Washington University. She previously worked on Capitol Hill and in Los Angeles City Hall, and is joining Bixel as our new operations coordinator.



b2_c_Jaideep.jpgJaideep Upadhyay is L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline’s new coordinator. Jaideep is a political science graduate of California State University, Northridge. He has previously worked for Project GRAD Los Angeles, as an intern at the civil rights office of the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C., and at multiple political consulting firms.





Kat Yalung reps L.A. tech at SXSW
Earlier this month, Startup LAunch Director Kat Yalung attended South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin. Kat shared our work at Bixel Exchange with tech professionals from around the country, and got to learn more about Austin’s tech scene. We’re excited to have had Kat there as an advocate for L.A.’s amazing tech community, and push for more diversity and inclusion!





Startup LAunch advisors hear from Adam Chapnick
On March 15, Startup LAunch hosted OKR 101, a training session for our advisors, with a presentation by Adam Chapnick, founder, Distribber. Adam covered the importance of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for keeping your North Star, common mistakes with OKRs and how our advisors can practically apply OKRs with their startups! Every business decision must be made with an eye toward the bottom line. Learn to accurately assess your business’ financial outlook and plan for the future by understanding the basics of business accounting and finance.
