Hello friend --

b1_TuFuturoLA.jpgTech career panelists needed for Your Future LA: Beyond the Diploma

This year, L.A. Cash for College is teaming up with Univision for Your Future LA: Beyond the Diploma to bring high school and college students resources for college and career opportunities. The event is free and open to students, families and community members throughout Los Angeles County.

Bixel Exchange will be hosting tech career panels at the convention. We are also inviting our startup founders and those in the engineering, biotech or tech fields to participate in one of our career panels. This is an opportunity to share your hard-earned knowledge and experience with the next generation of tech talent and impart some lasting advice. If you are interested in participating, register here or contact Jaideep Upadhyay.

On Oct. 4, L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline Director Linsdey Heisser was a panelist for the Southern California Grantmakers Career Education Discussion with Randi Wolfe, Early Care & Education Pathways to Success, and Luis Barrera Castaño, Goodwill Southern California. Geared toward other changemakers and partners in the workforce development and education fields, the panelists discussed how they are tackling the challenges to education access in L.A. and the best practices to ensure that underrepresented communities have the best opportunities available to them.
