Last week, Bixel Exchange attended several events that focused on how we can bring more opportunities to the foster youth community. L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline (LATTP) Director Lindsey Heisser and Snap Design Academy and NikexDesign alumni, Taylor Kim, traveled to the Aspen Institute Opportunity Youth Forum where they presented key learnings and insights from both the employer and opportunity youth perspective on how to prepare talent for employer-based workshops and internships to other opportunity youth professionals from across the nation. 

LATTP Program Specialist Jose Garcia also attended the 2019 Blueprint for Success Conference. The conference brought together local foster youth and professionals for an opportunity to engage in discussions and workshops around supporting foster youth in their higher education goals and beyond.

The L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline team attended Hello Future, an event that brought young tech talent from around the city as they connected with tech companies looking to launch their careers. The team was able to reach interested talent and build on their network as they ready for the upcoming 2020 internship season.
